For those constantly looking to create products, apps and software, innovations are a viable step. At the moment, location-based apps have become very popular e.g., Uber, Takealot and others. Innovation in GPS technology requires skilled and creative professionals.
Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR) apps are growing in popularity, as well as Artificial Intelligence (AI) apps.
To experience a fulfilling career in IT you need to be genuinely interested in computers, the internet and software. The traits that an IT professional should have are: Perseverance, Problem-Solving, Passion and Patience (4Ps). You will also need to work long hours behind a computer or you may have to walk many steps in a day to help employers in a company. If you enjoy creating, become a programmer. If you like helping others – IT support and Networking.
When starting a business, it’s essential to gain experience in the workplace and complete as many certifications as possible. Once you have gained at least 5 years’ experience working for a company, you should have developed the confidence to pursue your own IT business venture.
