Meet the talent

As a Singer/Songwriter from South Africa, Shekhinah has recently dropped her second album this year and is already a fan favourite. Reaching the Top of the charts within the first week and it continues to grow in popularity. Over her career she has received numerous awards such as the MTV Africa Award, Sama’s, Afrima’s, and more – all in recognition of her talent.

I would say I fall into the Pop entertainment category. There are many roles i take on such as a Performer, Producer, Content Creator, Creative director and more. What means most to me is to be an Advocate for equal representation in the entertainment industry, from opportunities to compensation – We should all be valued equally.

Lift the Women

Promoting Women is key to Shekhinah’s mission and is shown in her actions, the RoseFest (Music festival created by Shekhinah) hosts a wide variety of strong, talented, and ambitious female artists. The aim is to not only to promote and showcase the talents of these women but to also motivate and inspire the female audience, to show their value and reach their potential.

Standing Tall

I want to be an example for perseverance within the industry, where women are often marginalised. To showcase good business conduct, self-discipline, multiple income streams and a beacon of hope to all women. Showing the world that careers can be made on their skills and passion they possess, regardless of the obstacles they may face. We are all here to help each other and build one another up, for a shared success.

I am inspired by individuals such as H.E.R and Kehlani, both have been breaking boundaries and pushing back the walls they face in their lives.

Ambition

My Dream goal is to have a song on the Top of the global billboard charts. To also write a song for one of the leading international female artists in the future. Ultimately, writing is my  strongest passion I have – So I would like to end up in a Song writing career in the future.
